From Burnout to Beautiful Beginnings
Alva Fern Pty Ltd was born from a story of burnout, creativity, and purpose.
After years of running her own accounting business, our founder Sandra found herself completely burnt out and ready for a new chapter. She turned back to creativity, pouring her energy into books—colouring books, journals, notebooks, children's stories, and non-fiction titles. What started as a personal passion became a way to inspire and uplift others.
But Sandra wanted to do more than publish books. She envisioned a way to bring joy, calmness, and connection into people's everyday lives—and so Alva Fern Pty Ltd was created, bringing together her love of books with a unique subscription model.
The name itself reflects this mission:
Alva
Meaning elf in Nordic tradition, symbolises a touch of magic and playfulness
